Underwater scene photoshop
This process of using photoshop was to create a magazine cover by taking a few normal images and creating a scene that looks like a photograph insted of looking stuck on and editing like most do look like.
By starting off with a pebble garden image i used and used hue and sateration to make the green turn to purple and make the ground look like it was shineing. I followed up by using the blue color and the gradiant tool to cover almost all the image apart from the pebbles.
where i moved on to to the lasso tool to creature an outline of the ray of light where i used the lighten tool to creature the daylight coming down into the sea
This is the the final image i did before i fished it i added in the shark just by copy and paste and placed it into the scene and moved it around intill i found somewhere that looked like it could really be happening making it sem more like a photograph and an photoshop image.

masking layers and images
This demo was to teach us of how to easyly manipulate masking layers to see how easyer it is to change peoples faces and make it look compleatly realistic which is the same style oliver ottner has done through out his carrer
Once we had decided what image we were going to add to our original image of a woman and make her into a lead person which is sometimes done in movies and posters throught the media indestry
The fine detail of the image is key to how well it looks because if you had the leaf like in the image to the left but the leaf were on the eyes it would look very unreastic and may get a low mark
This is the final outcome of the mixing two animals into one through using masking and other tools to make it seem unphotoshoped althought it still may be obivouse it would still look relalistic.
Once we had moved the hippo head onto the the lizard head and moved it into the correct posision and then used the hue and saturation tool to make the color of the lizard go onto the hippo head.
From that point i used the burn tool to blend the head onto the lizard body and copyed some of the scales onto the head and darkend them using the burn tool again
this one is of my own dog i decided to exsperiment with using the same type of editing i had done above with the head of a baby crocodile it was fairly basic and next time i hope i can do it in more detail.
Using masking and blending with these source images to create a mix of the two animals , the rhino and a leopard doing what we had done before with the hippo and lizard but insted of changing body parts we will be changing the skin of the rhino into the skin of the leopard.
Once again starting off with the liqufy tool to move the leopard around the body of the rhino and used a masking layer to make the eyes and horn show off through the leopard skin and burned in the color to show the detail in the rhino's orginal skin.
Fitting such a small animal over such a large animal proved to be hard when streaching the fur and pattern over the rhino because of the spots being streached which anyone would notice and would not look relistic at all.
Once i managed to get the fur over the rhino and clean up details like the horn, inner ear and eyes once i had done the image it stil wasnt how i wanted to i decied to leave it and may try it again with a diffrent set of animals in the future.

Image manipulation snooker ball and car
these two images are from are first exsperimentation with the pen tool where we placed ancor points along the outer line and then we were able to bend the lines to fit the shapes to as close to the acaual line itself.
this image is when i used
the burn and dodge tool to create the lower shadow and the light reflecting off to make it seem the light from above hitting it
the burn and dodge tool to create the lower shadow and the light reflecting off to make it seem the light from above hitting itThis is closer to my final image where i only need to put in the number of my choice or of the color of the ball in the real game itself by using an select tool to make a circle in the center making it white wilth the fill tool and then simply using the type tool to add in the number.
this shows me placing the shadow under the ball which also would show where the light was coming from afterwards imoved the shadow more to one side to watch the other shading done onto the ball to make it look more relistic for the final design.
Contests
This image shows how many votes i got for this contest and where i placed out of all then entrys although i did my best in the limited time i had i placed lastbut got over fifty votes which boosted my confidence in trying more things.
This was i image i choose to do for this wicked witch contest that was on worth 1000 the task was to show how the given image could be manipulated into a holloween style of photoshop.
Although i had fun doing this contest i finished the image and carryed on trying diffrent things to see if i could improve it in any way possable in this case i think adding the cut on the face was to far so i decided to stop, then i acedently uploaded the wrong image so the cut was no edited in anyway so it lead to me not being placed as high as i liked.
using the simple color replacement tool i added red to the eyes to show demon like facial features which then i used a mixture of the burn and dodge tool to make them easyer to see the pupils but still looking demon/monster like
I wanted to see how cuts and such would look on the face but i though due to it being more of a child like contest i decided agesnt it and carrys on coloring the fangs and skin to make it more pale followd by using the hue and saturation tool to change the colors in the image which lead to the eyes and top of the head going blue and the fangs going green.
Second contest - microplanets
This contest is called microplanets where most have entire citys covering it with sometihng in the sky i decided i wanted mine to be diffrent and to change it so it would be in its own a unique piece of work, the background i simply painted black and used a mixture of red and white with some space brushes which would make the planet seem more in place.
Insted of taking a planet from the internet i wanted to make it myself so i used a mix of two brushes a simple circle with darkend lines through it and a dragonfire red brush to make the planet seem more multi terrain which makes it more real.
i Decided to add a road or path like layer rto the image to make it more hospitible for life which would make the city i want to do again look more real, after i tried adding some citys i wasnt happy with the way they looked so i decided to add trees but after only adding one i decided to call it the garden of eden with the forbidden fruite
Contest 3 - in the corner of your eye
I was given this image for the cathrune alley way contest on worth 1000 where we were given this image to manuipulate in any way we liked within the rules, i thought of an alleyway being creepy and dark unlike the orginal picture.
i Decided to add a monster/angel of death of some sorts faded into the background by the opacity tool as well and dodge to highlight the eyes and making sure that it could be seen in the corner of someones eye if they were to pass by.
After looking at the image for a long time i decided it was still to bright and happy for what i was trying to do so i used the burn tool over an large area repeatedly intill the light in the background stood out much much more and it looks more dark and creepy.
Editing the character was easy at first intill it came to the detail in the wings where i decided to cut them off and have him as a floating ghost insted, once i had enterd the contest i was exsited about the results intill it turned out i was disquilfied for using a 2d image which i thought was unfair because the image was partally 3d since i was not placed i deiced to note down what i did wrong so i dont do it again in the future.
contest 4 - something in the sky -
I used the source image of a normal city and used the burn too to darken the background to make it seem more dark and fit in with the style of the image i have in mind to do.
i started off by editing out of a dragon from a black background and try the image into muiltiple places to see where it would fit in the most and not look like it was just stuck on.
i decided one dragon made the image look boring so i added another dragon in again cutting it would of its orginal background and change the direction of its body to make it seem like its hanging off a building looking towards the other dragon
I like the final image i did but if i could go back i would of used a diffrent background and maybe add in a few more dragons or diffrent creatures to give it more viraty
contest 5 - Bad catholic santa -
I used this image of the catholic priest wearing sat and add on a santa hat just my clicking and dragging it into the right poisition where it would look realistic rather than stuck on top.
using the joke about catholics hating christmas i wanted to make it funny insted of strict with no offence intended

Shatter Text photoshop

This process showed me diffrent ways of selections in photoshop to help effect the writing such as using the lasso tool and moving the selected area to make the area look like it has hard a knife go through it to make it look like it has shatterd.
using the bevel and emboss to make a matilic like effect aswell as a light black lines to make the wording stand out more.
Fearther along
This part of the process is using the lasso tool to make an selected area behind the wording where i then use the fill tool and the radial blur to give the effect of lights glowing behind it, with the black on the background to make both the purple cloud made my the filter cloud tool to make it stand out much more than it would on a white background.
